Just Die

Synopsis

Arthur Grimshaw is having a really bad run of luck. Or, you know, lives. Plagued by increasingly absurd and improbable deaths – think rogue garden gnomes, rogue-r than average vacuum cleaners, even rogue-r than *that* squirrels – Arthur keeps finding himself back at the beginning, born anew with no memory of his previous existences, only a creeping sense of existential dread.

This time, however, things are different. This time, as he's choking on an errant grape (again), he catches a glimpse of… something. A flicker of understanding. Now, armed with the vague yet horrifying knowledge that his life is a Groundhog Day-esque carousel of ridiculous demises, Arthur embarks on a darkly comedic quest. Does he try to break the cycle? Does he attempt to become immortal by avoiding all potential hazards (spoiler alert: good luck with that)? Or does he just embrace the chaos, leaning into the absurdity of his fate and seeing how many truly outlandish ways he can kick the bucket?

"Just Die" follows Arthur’s repeatedly truncated journey (over and over again), filled with calamitous mishap, increasingly morbid gallows humor, and a growing appreciation for the sweet, sweet relief of… well, not being alive. It is a story about acceptance, perseverance, and coming to terms with the fact that sometimes, the best thing you can do is just let go… preferably before a runaway wheel of cheese takes you out.
